Welcome to Our Silver Season
The Hopkins Westwind Concert Band (HWCB) has been making music in and for the community for twenty-five years. In recognition of this milestone, the HWCB is proud to offer the first of two special concerts in the 2007-2008 Concert Season at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. The Fall Concert on Sunday, November 4, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. will be a time to look back as well as forward. You will enjoy a tune or two from our very first concert in 1983, the exciting work we commissioned for our 20th Anniversary, Hopkins Westwind Overture and several new pieces that speak to our world today.
We invite you to join us for this premier concert of "Our Silver Season." Call the Hopkins Center for the Arts Box Office at 952-979-1111 to reserve your FREE tickets. The Hopkins Center For The Arts is the HWCB's "concert home" and is located at 1111 Mainstreet, between 11th and 12th Avenues in Downtown Hopkins. Free parking is available in the Municipal Parking Ramp, located a half block south of the Hopkins Center for the Arts on 11th Avenue South.
Check back for more events to celebrate the HWCB's 25th Anniversary between now and our Spring Concert on Sunday, June 1, 2008, 7:00 p.m., also at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. This festive event will feature the performance of a newly-commissioned work for the HWCB by Dr. Melissa M. Krause, D.M.
