Musicians in the Architecture

Musicians in the Architecture

On June 1 at 3 p.m. the HWCB will present a program at the Hopkins Center for the Arts exploring the powerful connection between music and architecture, as inspired by words of Goethe: “Music is liquid architecture; architecture is frozen music.” We'll journey from the monumental scale (Frank Ticheli’s Angels in the Architecture and Alfred Reed’s Rushmore) to the human scale (Morton Gould’s Deserted Ballroom and John Williams’ Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets), with a local stop along the way for Sousa’s Foshay Tower March. Don’t miss this free concert, “Musicians in the Architecture.”
