The Hopkins Westwind Concert Band invites you to join us at 3:00 p.m., May 31, at the Hopkins Center for the Arts for an afternoon of "Musical Conversations." This very special program will feature Hopkins Mayor Patrick Hanlon as the narrator for Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait," a moving and timeless reminder of what our democracy stands for. Leonard Bernstein's popular and energetic "Overture to Candide" and works by three contemporary composers will round out our thought-provoking musical conversation.
